GIVEnchy ME MORE

Riccardo Tisci,

Thank you for creating a refreshed and refined rockstar spring 2012 collection. I am not however looking forward to all the waist and thigh toning I will have to endure to look right in cream skinny pants. Hopefully those who knock you off will be generous enough to include a nice amount of stretch in their fabric choices. I am in love with the waves of fabric across the jackets and for you making glitz look so red carpet and steven tyler at the same time. I pray H&M takes off with your designs and brings affordable versions to my designer dud budget. Thanks!

And now a moment to drool:

GOD DAMN THAT DISCO BALL SUIT KILLS ME

Lucky Shops = Heaven

This past weekend I was able to gain the wonderful experience of working at Lucky Shops NYC. If you have never been, or don’t know what it is….It’s shopper’s heaven. You must go next year!!! There’s deep designer discounts on basically everything. Its a frenzie of people trying on things and scouring racks looking for the perfect item. On VIP night, celebs dotted the crowd and waiters served the cutest hors d’oeuvres ever! My favortie was the miniature pulled pork sandwhich and a shot glass containing a vanilla milkshake with a mini chocolate chip cookie perched on the rim of the glass. Can’t wait for next year!!!

Some Alexa Chung Love

So I have to admit, I’ve had a woman crush on Alexa Chung for a few years now. I’m sure many of you feel the same way! Alexa’s so much fun and I’m completely envious of her effortless style. No matter what the occasion, she is always perfectly put together and looks amazing.

SPICE UP YOUR LIFE

Today I was reflecting on some of my childhood memories and I couldn’t help but IMMEDIATELY having these boots flash in my mind as I thought about the Spice Girl craze.  Their funky fashion sense (sometimes a little too funky…actually usually too funky) I remember begging my mother to allow me to dress like Baby Spice for Halloween (of course, she said the look was “too old”; aka too sexy) for a young lady like me.  Although my personal style is much different than theirs, it made me think about when the fashion world will also reflect on the Spice Girl craze and give it a modern and wearable twist. What is your favorite Spice Girl outift? I have to admit, I’m dreaming of the day a designer is inspired by the Spice Girls and makes a toned down and chic version of their over the top ensambles. Spice up your life!
